Email Policy

Austin Lost Pets has a policy of forwarding lost and found listings to area animal controls, humane societies and SPCAs, as well as local rescue groups.  This process enables viewers to quickly get the word out to as many local animal shelters and groups as possible.  It is our understanding that each of these groups holds this information as private information not to be sold or shared with marketing companies.  The information is shared only as a means of reuniting lost pets with their guardians.

We do not sell or share information expect as stated above.  We request e-mail addresses in order to correspond quickly and efficiently.  We also use the beginning of the address as a means of processing pet listings.  Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to call each individual to make inquiries or share information, so the e-mail address listed is our only means of updating you with vital information.

Individuals who do not wish to make their e-mail address known, may type not applicable or "xxxxxx" in the e-mail address field.  After one year your listing will be removed, with no further notification.

None of the information gathered on the Austin Pet Club website is sold or shared with any other company.  The information is used for contest information, prize notification, and our records.  Information can also be used to verify that a student has parental consent to participate in our contests.
