Impound and adoption services, rabies control, bite investigations, injured animal rescue, and pet registration.

The Town Lake Animal Center hosts regular offsite adoption days.  The adoption days focus on pets who have been available for adoption for the longest period of time.

Fee Schedule  
Note:  In order to release an animal, a certificate of rabies vaccination (not tags) must be shown.  The Pet Registration/City License must also be shown.   (Shots and registration can be purchased at the time of release

Holding Periods:  
Current Pet Registration tags for 10 days 

Tags other than current PR tags (expired PR tags, rabies tags, personal ID tags, etc.) and those with chips or tattoos are held 7 days

No ID at all may be held only 72 hours.

Register Your Pet

Volunteer Orientation, held the 2nd Saturday of every month at 10:00 am.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age.  For more information, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 708-6017.

Adoption Process

If you would like to help the Center's animals, make a donation to the Pet Placement Fund.  The money will be used for pet maintenance and helping more pets to be adopted.

Registration
The City of Cedar Park requires all dogs and cats that live within the city limits must be registered with the city. Licenses can be obtained from the animal control building during regular business hours. Proof of current rabies vaccination and a $5.00 fee is required.

Georgetown Animal Shelter

Mon 8 - 5 pm  (closed for adoptions)

The Georgetown Animal Shelter works in conjunction with the Georgetown Animal Control (943-1358).  Only pets within the city limits of Georgetown are accepted at the shelter.

Holding Period: 3 days

The Leander Animal Control currently has adoptable pets available, including kittens and puppies.
